Health Management

Contribution to achieving the SDGs
8 DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

The Hakuto Group has been pursuing a number of initiatives to maintain and promote the health of its employees. We position employee health as the foundation for sound management and productivity improvement, and have recently established the Hakuto Group Health Declaration.

Hakuto Group Health Declaration

The Hakuto Group's motto is "broadly connecting the world with people and technology." The Group's assets are its individual employees, and their health is the foundation for the development of the Group.
Based on this philosophy, the Hakuto Group will promote health support to create an environment in which employees can work with peace of mind for a long time, and to enable them to be physically and mentally healthy and active.

Organizational structure

The President and CEO and the officer in charge of human resources will be the Health and Productivity Management Officer, and will lead health and productivity management efforts. Meanwhile health promotion staff of the Human Resources Department will play a central role in promoting employee health in cooperation with industrial physicians, public health nurses, and health insurance associations.

Pillars of health and productivity management

  1. 1Health Care (Physical Care)

In addition to regular health checkups, we offer lifestyle-related disease checkups and physical examinations at outside medical institutions, the costs of which are subsidized by the health insurance association and the company. The percentage of employees undergoing regular health checkups (including external lifestyle-related disease checkups and physical examinations) is 100 percent. In addition, based on the results of periodic health checkups, the occupational health staff conduct detailed follow-ups, including interviews and health guidance for high-risk employees, and the health insurance association also provides specific health guidance to prevent and detect illnesses among employees at an early stage.

In addition to maintaining a 100% health checkup participation rate, we will improve the rate of secondary checkups and aim to achieve 100% participation in interviews and guidance for high-risk employees.

Smoking is prohibited on all company work floors and premises, and we are working to raise awareness of the health hazards of smoking and to improve the non-smoking rate.

In order to encourage employees to take the initiative in their exercise habits, we are also working to improve exercise habits by implementing company-wide walking exercises and distributing videos of stretching exercises.

  2. 2Mental health care

Stress checks are conducted on all employees, including those working overseas. The company has also opened a consultation service for employees, where occupational health staff are available to help prevent serious mental illnesses and support employees returning to work.

  3. 3Work style reform

We have established monthly premium days to allow employees to take their paid holidays in a planned manner, and are striving to achieve a work-life balance, aiming for a paid leave utilization rate of 80%. In addition, we strive to prevent overwork by properly managing the working hours of each employee. For those who work long hours, our health management staff and occupational health staff provide appropriate advice and guidance for health management during overwork interviews.
